Sound generating circuits fascinates everyone. Dedicated circuits are available in the market to provide a single type of sound or technically it can be said as ‘circuits with one level of intensity of sound’. In contrast to those circuits, here we present you a multi-sound generator circuit which offers a wide range of sound intensities as directed by the name of project itself.
The multi sound generator circuit is designed such that it produces a total of eight different levels/types of sound from the single circuit. This is what makes the circuit more captivating. With the use of less number of components and low operating voltage, the project becomes even more significant. The main advantage of this project is simple because consists very few components and operating voltage is very low.
Description of Multi Sound Generator Circuit
The heart of multi sound generator circuit is monolithic L-S-I sound generator IC HT288/HT88 which is 18 pin dual lines IC. VCC supplied to pin 2 and pin 1 is directly grounded. The sound output thus generated is taken from 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13 which is connected to one pole ,eight way switch as shown in circuit diagram. According to the selected position of switch SW2 Â, output signal is obtained from pin number 4 and then transferred to base of transistor T1 through R1. Transistor T1 and T2 collectively form Darlington pair for amplified signal and fed to speaker for output.
